Katie Couric gave a surprising tour of her old dorm room on social media, during her visit to the University of Virginia, from which she graduated from in 1979.
The journalist, who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies, was also a resident assistant at the school, and stayed in one of the lawn rooms on campus.
In the heartwarming clip, the TV star knocked on door number 26 and was welcomed in by the new RA, Ava, who is currently living there.
Katie provided fans with an intimate look at where the start of her career took place.
She narrated the tour: "I just wanted to give you a quick tour of what these lawn rooms look like."
Katie noted the major change she saw in the room, explaining: "Now you have a bunk bed in case you have out-of-town guests."
The broadcaster recalled: "I wanna show everyone – this is where I used to keep my dirty dishes, but this is a little water closet."
The lawn room fittingly provided a door to the lawn right outside, and Katie expressed: "It's so nice and this is your front yard…And your front yard is this, and here's the rotunda. They're doing some work there obviously, but how pretty is this?"
