Tennessee man facing kidnapping charges in Iowa
A Tennessee man is facing multiple charges in Iowa after a months-long investigation into a sexual assault involving a minor.
The Wapello County Sheriff's Office says it began the investigation in October of 2025.
Investigators say they learned the victim had met and communicated with a man online but did not know his identity or where he lived at the time.
Information obtained eventually led authorities to 22-year-old Reuben Justice from Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Justice allegedly drove at least 10 hours to pick up the victim from her home in Wapello County.
He then took her to a short-term vacation rental in Jefferson County, Tennessee, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
Justice was taken into custody by the Smokey Mountain Fugitive Task Force and booked into the Hamilton County Jail in Tennessee on September 10th.
He was extradited to Iowa on September 16th.
