The cast of Slow Horses made a strong showing at the Emmys tonight, including Jack Lowden—who is nominated at the Emmys for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Last year, he skipped the Emmys as he and wife Saoirse Ronan had recently welcomed their first child. Lowden’s last appearance at the awards show was in 2024.
His appearance comes amid rising speculation that he has been cast as the new James Bond; Lowden has not commented on the rumors, but Ronan has thrown her hat into the ring as a possible Bond villain. “I said that I wanted to be a Bond villain and I’m dead serious,” she said. “I think it would be really interesting, having a young female villain. Especially for girls and women, to see someone who can just take all that pent-up anger and direct it somewhere, there’s something interesting in that dramatically. So I would love to do more of that.”
