Jefferson Lines , a nationwide network of bus travel, announced the relocation of its Cedar Rapids bus stop to Lindale Mall, a more central location for the vehicles and passengers alike, beginning today, Tuesday, Sept. 15.
According to a news release, the more centrally located stop will sit outside of the Von Maur store at Lindale Mall, accompanied by an indoor ticketing kiosk to better streamline ticket sales. Bus pickup and dropoff will occur just outside of Von Maur.
The bus stop will allow ticketholders to better access Jefferson’s thousands of locations across 17 states. “The new location enhances passengers’ travel experience with a more spacious, modern and accessible transit hub,” said the news release
The old bus stop location in Cedar Rapids was located outside of the Eastern Iowa Airport. The new stop makes travel to a ticketholder’s bus much easier and more centrally located to cater to the larger Cedar Rapids/Marion metropolitan area.
