GRAND FORKS — The distance between Chippewa Falls, Wis., and Grand Forks is 412 miles. That's a long way to go to race a late model, but Jesse Glenz certainly won't complain about the trip.
That's because Glenz captured Saturday night's 92-lap John Seitz Late Model Memorial at River Cities Speedway, a win that paid the Wisconsin driver $9,292 during the 20th annual running of the event that honors the late Bemidji driver.

Glenz inherited the lead with 11 laps to go after Tyler Peterson left the track with engine problems.
Glenz then had to survive five restarts as he had to hold off two former Seitz winners — Cole Searing and Aaron Turnbull. Glenz beat Searing to the flag stand by 0.260 seconds.
"To come from two states away and win here considering all the big names in this race and the memorial that it stands for is awesome," said Glenz. "This is a big event; John raced late models forever and this is an awesome track."
Glenz started 10th and moved into second with 45 laps to go.
