The Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal saga has taken another major turn after Jorge Jesus opened the door for the captain to return to the national team.
Speaking after Portugal’s 2-1 win over Norway, Jesus insisted that the situation between him and Ronaldo was a misunderstanding. The manager made it clear that there is no permanent break between the two sides and said the final decision now belongs to Ronaldo.
“Everything is open, Cris has to decide his own life. It doesn’t depend on me,” Jesus said. He also described what happened between them as a misunderstanding that, in his view, would be easy to resolve.
