According to ESPN’s NFL Nation Green Bay Packers reporter Rob Demovsky, the judge in the Josh Jacobs battery case denied the victim’s request to have the records permanently sealed. Per Demovsky, the matter was turned over "to the Hobart/Lawrence police department, which is the custodian of the records."
Demovsky also said that the police department will handle any new requests for the records.
Both Jacobs and the victim will have an opportunity "to appear" if a decision is made to release the records.
Jacobs faces misdemeanor charges of battery and criminal damage to property, stemming from an altercation in May with his then-girlfriend. Jacobs pleaded no contest to the charges on Sept. 10.
Jacobs was charged in late August. The running back hasn’t played a game for the Packers yet this season, and remains on the commissioner exempt list.
