In the contest to claim his Senate seat, leading candidates are emphasizing their distance from McConnell, whose relationship with former President Donald Trump has at times been strained.
Among the frontrunners is businessman Nate Morris, who is promoting a fresh approach for Kentucky. Senator Bernie Moreno of Ohio recently encouraged residents to support Morris, framing him as a conservative outsider capable of steering the state in a new direction.
Moreno stated, “If we want to prioritize America First policies, we need to send a true conservative outsider to Washington, not another career politician.
