Kevin Brock: Honoring a Patriot and Expert in the FBI

Remembering Kevin Brock: A Distinguished FBI Expert and Patriot It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of Kevin Brock, a highly respected former FBI Assistant Director of Intelligence, who died last year after battling a prolonged illness. Though we hadn't spoken recently, my attempt to reconnect revealed his departure in 2024—a loss deeply felt by his family, friends, and our nation. Kevin exemplified the highest standards of integrity and dedication, representing the best qualities of the FBI. My acquaintance with Kevin began in 2020, after his retirement from the bureau. At that time, I had obtained through the Freedom of Information Act pivotal documents related to the FBI’s controversial "Crossfire Hurricane" investigation—an inquiry into alleged collusion between Donald Trump and Russia during the 2016 election. Judicial Watch, my organization, sued the Department of Justice for these records, which we published alongside an analytical report. Kevin reviewed our findings and authored an insightful analysis of the electronic communication (EC) that initiated the investigation—an internal FBI document penned by Peter Strzok.
