The Kiel Fire Department is planning to host an open house on Sunday, Sept. 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event is intended for the whole family. Stop by and check out the facilities and apparatus. Members will be around to help answer questions and help explore the equipment the community has provided to the KFD over the years.
There will be activities for everyone, including an obstacle course, fire extinguisher training, an EMS demonstration with a realistic training manikin, and much more.Also, food and water will be provided free of charge.
At 2:30 p.m. the new training tower will be open to view (located at the dead end of the new development near Cemetery Road and Belitz Drive) and at 3:15 p.m. will be the official dedication ceremony.
