King Charles' royal residence Sandringham House was thrown into complete chaos on Thursday as a nearby disaster meant they had to shut their doors and turn away visitors, pledging to offer automatic refunds to members of the public who had already purchased tickets to come to the property.
The grand abode in Norfolk was left without any water when a nearby water main burst, and the dedicated team were quick to inform their visitors via Instagram. The Instagram Stories post read: "Due to a burst water main locally, we currently have no water. Therefore Sandringham House & Gardens, Restaurant, Terrace, Shop & toilets will be closed today.
"Any visitors with tickets for today will automatically receive a refund. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause."
It is unknown at present whether the house and grounds will reopen on Friday, as this will depend on the speed in which the problem is resolved. It is likely that updates will be available on Instagram and the official website. At the moment, tickets for tomorrow are still available to purchase online.
