King Philip graduate Tori Constantin has been named the new head coach of the Salve Regina University softball program, the school announced in a release Thursday.
Constantin takes over the Seahawks after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Boston College, where she worked primarily with the defense while also assisting with hitting and recruiting.
Before joining BC, Constantin spent four seasons as an assistant at Rhode Island and two seasons at MIT. At URI, she worked with the outfielders and also assisted with hitting instruction.
Constantin visited her former team this past spring for a practice right before the Warriors went on to win their first state championship in a decade .
A standout infielder at King Philip, Constantin helped the Warriors win the 2011 state championship as a sophomore. She earned Hockomock League all star honors in 2012 and 2013, won the league batting title in 2012, and was named to the HockomockSports Second Team as a senior.
