KOOSKIA — The Kooskia City Council welcomed two new faces around the meeting tables at their regular session on Sept. 9. New city clerk Mike Tornatore worked his first Kooskia council meeting since beginning the position at the beginning of the month, and Michelle Fabbi was sworn in as councilor to fill the seat of Dannette Payton.
The meeting opened with a public hearing on an increase to the city’s 2025-26 budget after pumps at wells No. 3 and No. 4 failed, requiring about $235,000 in work. The amendment increased the budget by $47,000, to $7,980,600. It was approved later by the council.
