Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced a remarkable response to the agency’s latest ICE recruitment initiative, revealing that more than 80,000 individuals have applied for the available positions. This comes after DHS launched a targeted recruiting campaign offering attractive incentives.
Success of the Recruitment Campaign
In a Wednesday appearance on Fox News' "Fox and Friends," Noem emphasized the campaign's success, stating, "Our efforts to hire 10,000 new ICE officers have yielded incredible results."
Changes in Application Eligibility
She also shared that the age limit for applicants has been removed, allowing qualified candidates of any age to apply. "As of today, we already have over 80,000 applicants competing for those 10,000 roles," she added. "Patriots across the nation are eager to serve and contribute to this effort."
