A Northwestern State University student is organizing a community hygiene drive through Saturday, Nov. 7 to help provide essential personal care products to individuals served by the Day Reporting Center in Thibodaux.
The drive, which began Oct. 19, encourages community members to donate everyday hygiene necessities that can help individuals meet their personal care needs as they work to rebuild their lives and move toward a brighter future, according to a social media post.
Organized by student Chloe Grace Zeringue, the initiative focuses on collecting essential items that can make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of individuals served by the Day Reporting Center. The effort provides an opportunity for residents to support members of the community by helping make basic hygiene supplies more accessible.
According to a social media post, donations are being accepted at two locations in Thibodaux: Lifted Nutrition & Fitness, located at 1410 Tiger Drive and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, located at 204 Madewood Drive, also known as NSU Alumni Drive.
The drive is seeking donations across three main categories: oral hygiene, personal hygiene and additional hygiene product...
