Lancaster Country Club will host five United States Golf Association (USGA) Championships through 2044, the USGA announced Tuesday.
A two-time host of the U.S. Women’s Open, Lancaster Country Club (LCC) will welcome from 2028-2044 several national championships encompassing various ages and stages of women’s golf. The championships will include the 2028 U.S. Girls’ Junior, the 2033 U.S. Senior Women’s Open, the 2037 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur, the 2040 U.S. Women’s Amateur, and the 2044 U.S. Women’s Open.
“This announcement represents a true multi-generational commitment to women’s golf,” USGA Chief Championships Officer John Bodenhamer said in a statement. “From a teenager playing in her first Girls’ Junior to a veteran competitor in the Senior Women’s Open, Lancaster will be a proving ground for female golfers of every age over the next two decades. Few clubs have the history, the golf course and the community support to take on that kind of responsibility, and Lancaster has already proven it on the game’s biggest stage.”
