Eight Latvian-regulated Fintech platforms have facilitated more than €13 billion in investments and serve more than 800,000 foreign investors, with German investors accounting for about 30% of demand, Latvia’s investment agency said.
The figures were disclosed during a Latvian trade mission to Berlin, where fintech companies met with 20 institutional investors, family offices, and financial-sector representatives as Latvia sought to deepen financial and technology ties with Germany.
The mission, organised by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA), brought together 53 Latvian companies and organisations spanning information technology, fintech, life sciences, defence, and dual-use industries.
The fintech delegation’s meetings with German investors and financial-sector representatives come as Latvia seeks to position its regulated investment platforms as a gateway for cross-border investment and financial services.
The eight platforms are regulated in Latvia, although the agency did not identify them individually or provide a breakdown of the €13 billion by platform or investment category.
