When I was twenty-two years old and working as a counselor in the inner-city Hough area of Cleveland, Joe, a coworker approached me and asked if I would like to invite Christ into my life. I found out later that he had been involved in Campus Crusade for Christ while in college. His question caught me off guard and I responded, “Well, I am Catholic and I have known Christ all my life.” He was not satisfied with my response and explained that I had to officially ask Christ to come into my life. I liked Joe and his sincerity and thought it couldn’t hurt to comply with his request.
