The early struggles raise questions about whether the Lions' championship window is closing. Quarterback Jared Goff aims to prove it remains open in a Week 3 home game against the 1-1 New York Jets (Fox, 1 p.m. ET).
Jared Goff sends message to doubters "I'm excited to get back home and play in front of our fans for sure. But you love when the vultures start coming out. Guys' character really emerges," Goff said Wednesday (h/t John Maakaron of Lions on SI). "And I know our guys in this locker room, and you get to see those guys stand tall and be who they are and stand in the fire and take the shots and still fight through it. And again, I say we're 1-1, and we lost [to Buffalo] by 10 points unfortunately, but we're in a great place. We feel great and excited to get back."
