LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A Little Rock woman has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead on Interstate 430 earlier this month, according to Arkansas State Police.
ASP said troopers were contacted around 1 a.m. on Sept. 14 regarding a deceased person in the roadway near the 6-mile marker of I-430.
Special agents with the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division responded and found several pieces of evidence at the scene, including vehicle parts.
Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Investigators later located the vehicle believed to have been involved in the crash and interviewed the driver, identified as 24-year-old Kaleigh Reaves of Little Rock.
According to ASP, Reaves turned herself in at Pulaski County District Court on Sept. 18 and was charged with negligent homicide, leaving the scene of an accident and driving while intoxicated.
The victim has been identified as a 36-year-old woman from Hot Springs.
State police said the investigation remains ongoing and no additional information is being released at this time.
