BRENHAM — Young agricultural exhibitors took center stage on Thursday as the Washington County Fair hosted its annual Scramble Heifer Show, highlighting the hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship of local youth.
Kennedy Ashorn earned top honors in the competition, taking home the title of Grand Champion. Ashorn is a junior at Brenham High School and an active member of the Prairie Hill 4-H club. She is the daughter of Ross and Rachel Ashorn.
The Reserve Champion title was awarded to Jaxson Smith, a fifth grader at Brenham Elementary School and member of the Burton 4-H club. He is the son of Derrick and Kacey Smith.
