Logano wins Night Race, rivals fight on pit road

BRISTOL — Joey Logano celebrated his win in Saturday's Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway as Carson Hocevar and Ryan Blaney fought on pit road. The three-time NASCAR champion was opportunistic with a winning pass to the inside as leaders Ty Gibbs and Hocevar bounced off each other with eight laps to go. Logano, driving the No. 22 Team Penske Ford, raced on to the win by 1.2 seconds over Kyle Larson in front of the largest crowd at Bristol Motor Speedway in a decade. "You know it's going to get aggressive at the end," Logano said. "I was at the right place at the right time. Merry Christmas to me. I got a gift there." It was Logano's third Cup Series victory at Bristol and the 40th of his career, which tied him with Mark Martin on NASCAR's all-time win list.
