Vinson & Elkins said partners Loren Finegold and Ed Comber joined its Structured Finance and Securitization practice in New York, with Mr. Finegold becoming head of the practice. Both partners previously served at Latham & Watkins and have worked together for nearly a decade.
Mr. Finegold has more than 25 years of experience in highly structured asset-based financing solutions, including the first two midstream oil and gas securitizations closed to date, the first-ever securitizations of hyperscale and colocation data centers and wireless tower ground leases, the first-ever securitization of proven developed producing oil and gas wells in a master trust structure, and the first-ever securitization of earned wage access receivables for a leading fintech issuer, the firm stated.
Mr. Comber's experience focuses on structured finance, securitization, and other secured financing transactions, with his background including midstream and upstream oil and gas assets, GPU financings, shipping containers, triple net lease assets, and rental car fleet securitizations, Vinson & Elkins reported.
