Los Angeles Chargers Sign Defensive Lineman Nesta Jade Silvera Amid Roster Changes

The Los Angeles Chargers have officially signed defensive lineman Nesta Jade Silvera to their roster, while also releasing defensive lineman Josh Fuga due to injury concerns. Silvera, aged 25, was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft from Arizona State. He secured a four-year contract valued at $3.9 million, extending through 2026, and later re-signed a futures deal for the 2024 season following his release. After being waived by the Raiders in October 2024, Silvera spent time with the San Francisco 49ers before signing a futures contract with the Green Bay Packers, who released him this July. During the 2024 season, Silvera appeared in seven games for the Raiders, recording eight tackles.
