Madisonville-North Hopkins Golf Finishes 5th at Marshall County Invitational

The Madisonville-North Hopkins golf team secured a fifth-place position in the team standings at Tuesday's Marshall County Invitational held at Calvert City Golf and Country Club. The Maroons' players delivered strong performances, with three players shooting in the 70s. Trayson Raymer led the team, finishing tied for seventh overall after a 74. Jake Witherspoon and Max Clayton each recorded rounds of 77, contributing significantly to the team's score. Spencer Munchbach shot an 84, while Tyler Bryan completed his round with an 86. Collectively, these scores resulted in a team total of 312. The competition saw McCracken County clinch the team championship with a score of 287, followed by Marshall County in second with 300. Murray finished with 307, and Greenwood posted a 308. Individually, Ryan Stokes of Marshall County and Evan Hack of McCracken County both recorded the lowest rounds of 71. Stokes earned medalist honors after winning a playoff with a birdie on the first hole. Overall, the tournament showcased competitive golf among the region's top teams, with Madisonville-North Hopkins demonstrating strong individual efforts and team cohesion.
