MAHS 2027 calendars now on sale!
submitted by Annette Siffin, Manchester Area Historical Society
The Manchester Area Historical Society (MAHS) has produced a calendar as a fundraising project every year since 1984. Each year the calendar has a different theme or focus that is always some aspect of the history of Manchester and/or its four surrounding townships: Sharon, Freedom, Bridgewater, and Manchester. Full of photos and historical tidbits, they are a fun way to see and learn about the history of the area.
The new 2027 calendars are printed and available for purchase! The cover of the 2027 calendar features artworks by two local artists. The front cover has a Nancy Feldkamp watercolor of the east side of the Manchester Mill, the River Raisin, and the Main Street bridge. The back cover has a pen and ink drawing of the north side of Main Street by Seth LaRocque. Each month highlights a building or place that has a historic marker recognized by a national, state, or county authority.
The 2027 MAHS calendars can be purchased for $10 each at the Kingsley-Jenter House (302 E Main St) and the Blacksmith Shop (324 E Main St) on Sundays from 1pm to 4pm. Other venues include: the Manches...
