Majority of Central Banks Coordinate Monetary and Financial Stability Policies

A recent report from the Financial Stability Benchmarks 2025 reveals that approximately 84% of central banks globally coordinate their monetary policy with financial stability measures. Specifically, 36 out of 43 surveyed institutions confirmed active integration of these policy areas. This coordination involves the strategic use of overlapping tools and objectives, aiming to ensure both economic growth and financial system resilience. The remaining institutions either do not recognize such coordination or operate their policies independently. This alignment underscores the importance of a holistic approach to monetary and financial stability policies among leading central banks worldwide.
