Man facing charges after child sex crimes in Horry County

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A man is facing charges after child sex crimes in Horry County.

The Horry County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Ryan Hannan, 33, for possessing child sex abuse material. Hannan was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, 3rd degree, the Horry County Sheriff’s Office said.

Investigators received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning alleged criminal activity on a Google account, according to the HCSO.

After further investigation, Hannan was taken into custody.
