SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Authorities say they have arrested a man on Tuesday for the alleged slashing of a man's neck in West Scranton, according to a media statement by the Scranton Police Department.
Authorities say Tyquan Fields, 33, from Scranton, was arrested in connection to an attack that occurred Tuesday, Sept. 15, in the 1200 block of Jackson Street. Fields was arrested following police response about a man who appeared at Geisinger Hospital bleeding from a cut on his neck.
According to the release, the victim told responding officers he'd been in a fight with someone he knew as "Ty." A further investigation revealed the alleged victim had been in a dispute with "Ty" over disagreements about a mutual female acquaintance.

The two decided to meet up to discuss the issue, where it is alleged Fields slashed the victim's neck with a knife. Witnesses to the slashing told officers about a vehicle allegedly involved in incident, which led officers to Fields, according to the report.
