Man who was tracked by OnStar pleads guilty in abduction case

LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) — A Wellsville man pleaded guilty Tuesday in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court in connection with an abduction and theft case.

Jessy Lee, 36, pleaded guilty to felonious assault, a second-degree felony; abduction, a third-degree felony; and grand theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony. Sentencing is set for Nov. 2.

Lee was arrested in February after a woman reported to police that she was assaulted by him, and he took her vehicle following an altercation in East Liverpool.

Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The woman said that Lee forced her to drive toward Youngstown on Route 11 but then had to turn around because she didn't have enough gas. She said that as they were headed back to East Liverpool, Lee hit her and held a knife against her throat, according to a police report.

The woman was eventually able to make it out of the vehicle and to the East Liverpool Police Department, where she reported the attack. Lee took off.

Investigators were able to track Lee down by the OnStar feature inside the vehicle. He was arrested in Huron County.
