Yes, we’re finally meeting Nathan’s mom! She’ll be arriving in Hope Valley on horseback, ready to celebrate Nathan ( Kevin McGarry ) and Elizabeth’s ( Erin Krakow ) impending nuptials . Hallmark describes Birdie as “free-spirited and colorful.” She takes an “instant liking to Elizabeth, instantly wrapping her in a firm hug.”
The character is a “well-traveled adventurer” and most recently spent time in Switzerland, “where she helped the needy on a church trip, but she is not above getting into a bit of mischief.
