Marilyn Campbell, 93, of Claremont, passed away peacefully on Sept. 25, 2026, in Keene.
Marilyn was born on May 25, 1933, in Claremont. She attended Claremont schools and graduated from Stevens High School in 1951. On Sept. 29, 1951, she married Robert M. Campbell in Claremont. From that day forward they built a life together that remained devoted and steadfast until Robert’s passing in 2017. Following their wedding, they honeymooned in Niagara Falls, a trip that remained well-documented and fondly remembered.
Marilyn spent her summers in the White Mountains of northern New Hampshire with her grandmother Charlotte and Aunt Bessie, creating memories that stayed with her throughout her life. She and Robert later built their Claremont home by hand, where they lived for more than 60 years and raised their family.
Marilyn possessed an extraordinary work ethic and an unmistakable determination. Her hands were rarely still. Just two weeks after the birth of her youngest child, she was back outside laying shingles on the home she and Robert were building.
