While speaking with Richard Christiansen about his new book, Flamingo Estate Pleasure Principles: An Almanac from the Garden, at an event hosted by 92NY on Friday, Sept. 18, the 85-year-old entrepreneur joked that she always does her best to “keep ahead of” the other lifestyle moguls.
Whether she’s composting or planting an entirely new rose garden on her 63-acre estate in Maine, Stewart quipped that she is trying her best to maintain her shining reputation because, as she put it, “I’m the boss.”
After all, the TV personality’s rose gardens are filled with hundreds of a very special type of rose that was named after her.
