JAFFREY, N.H. (WWLP) - A hiker from Somerville, Massachusetts, was rescued from Monadnock State Park on Saturday after a leg injury.
Hundreds bike to fight hunger in western Massachusetts
The NH Fish and Game Law Enforcement Division and Operation Game Thief stated that rangers were called at around 12:27 p.m. for a report of an injured hiker on the White Dot Trail at Monadnock State Park. Upon arrival, rangers located the hiker, 28-year-old Sara Grube, and provided medical aid.
Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement They attempted to guide Grube down the trail; however, due to her injury, it was determined that further assistance was needed. Conservation Officers, the Upper Valley Wilderness Response Team, and members of the Jaffrey, Peterborough, Troy, and Marlborough Fire Departments assisted in carrying the woman to safety down the extremely difficult terrain.

The rescue teams successfully arrived down the route, just under a mile, at around 8 p.m., where Grube was taken in an ambulance to Cheshire Medical Center in Keene for treatment.
