Brooklyn are coming off a positive result, coming back from 2-0 down with 10 players to earning a 2-2 draw that felt like a win against FC Tulsa.

Birmingham have been going through a difficult run of form, winless in their last seven matches dating back to August 2. They are coming off a 4-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Rowdies and have conceded 8 goals in the last two games, as well as conceding at least two goals in the last seven matches. They have also conceded 18 goals from set pieces, five more than the next highest team. Despite all the goals conceded, the Legion's goalkeeper, Jassem Koleilat, has made 88 saves this season, the second most in the USL Championship.
