STATESBORO, Ga. – The Mercer men's soccer team fell to Georgia Southern, 1-0, due to a late penalty at Bo Pitts Field in Statesboro, Georgia, on Sunday night.

Georgia Southern's offense produced the first three shots of the night before
The officials went to video review in the 83rd minute and awarded Georgia Southern a penalty. Freshman Broden Beorlegui stepped up to the spot and slotted his fifth goal of the year into the bottom right corner for the game-winning goal.
