Merck Healthcare Korea and the Korean Society for Reproductive Medicine (KSRM) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to develop educational materials for infertility patients.
The two organizations said Monday they will work together to identify information gaps and communication difficulties experienced by patients undergoing infertility treatment.
Merck Healthcare Korea General Manager Christoph Hamann and KSRM President Hwang Kyung-joo signed the agreement at Merck Healthcare Korea's headquarters, with representatives from both organizations attending.
Under the agreement, Merck Healthcare Korea and the KSRM will carry out the project for six months, from September 2026 through February 2027.
The collaboration will include interviews with patients who have undergone infertility treatment, consultation with reproductive medicine specialists and the development of educational materials.
Patient interviews will focus on difficulties and unanswered questions during treatment, including information patients need at different stages of testing and treatment and when making treatment decisions.
