Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital Names Dr. Nicholas O’Dell as New Chief Clinical Officer

Paducah's Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital has announced the appointment of Dr. Nicholas C. O’Dell as its new Chief Clinical Officer, as revealed by the hospital system on Tuesday. Prior to this role, Dr. O’Dell served as the Chief Medical Officer at Murray-Calloway County Hospital. There, he managed the emergency response during a significant EF-4 tornado and collaborated with the chief nursing officer to develop a phased approach to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. He also supervised the launch of Western Kentucky's first mass testing facility. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Dr. O’Dell has experience as a field surgeon supporting NATO’s Operation Atlantic Resolve and participated in a U.S. State Department outreach mission in Djibouti, according to Mercy Health.
