Meta Platforms (META) has launched a new subscription service offering increased artificial intelligence (AI) usage and features across its social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. Called “Meta One,” the new AI subscription service already has 15 million subscribers, according to the technology giant.
The service includes more than 50 features across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Meta AI. Meta Platforms said in a statement that the core experience on its apps and Meta AI will remain free for users. However, Meta One subscription plans start at $2.99 a month, with bundled plans across multiple social media apps costing $7.99 per month. Creator and business bundles cost $14.99 each month.

Monetizing AI Technologies at Meta
Meta added that it is rolling its previous AI products such as Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus into the new Meta One subscription offering. Through Meta One, creators can use AI for image creation and editing, as well as video generation and access to in-app AI tools such as Restyle. In early testing, more than half of subscribers chose bundled plans, according to Meta.
