Michael Jordan’s legendary “Last Dance” is hitting the auction block once again.
The game-worn white No. 23 jersey Jordan wore during Game 3 of the 1998 NBA Finals is currently being auctioned through JOOPITER, and the piece could become the most expensive basketball jersey ever sold.
Bidding opened September 15 at 10 a.m. ET, and JOOPITER has placed an estimated value of $10 million to $15 million on the jersey. As of September 16, the current bid has already reached $10 million, with the reserve met.
The auction is scheduled to run through September 30.
A Jersey From Jordan’s Final Championship Run
Jordan wore the jersey on June 7, 1998, when the Chicago Bulls hosted the Utah Jazz at the United Center.
Chicago entered Game 3 with the series tied 1-1. The Bulls proceeded to lay a 42-point beatdown on Utah , 96-54, to take a 2-1 series lead.
Jordan finished with 24 points, three rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block as Chicago produced one of the most lopsided victories in NBA Finals history.
The victory came during Jordan’s final season with the Bulls, which ultimately ended with Chicago defeating Utah in six games to capture its sixth championship in eight seasons.
