Milford Hosts Its First Friday Multicultural Festival, Celebrating Global Diversity in Small-Town Charm
MILFORD, Delaware — The quaint town of Milford comes alive during its monthly First Friday street festival, transforming downtown into a lively hub of culinary delights, musical performances, and community engagement. This evening’s event, running from 5 to 9 p.m. along Walnut Street, features a vibrant Multicultural Festival that honors the diverse heritage of Milford’s residents through traditional dances, international foods, artisan markets, and family-friendly activities.
Each month, First Friday adopts a different theme—recently celebrating Independence Day with a patriotic street party, and this month highlighting global cultures and the multicultural fabric of Milford. "Our town is a mosaic of different cultures," said Sadé Truiett of Downtown Milford INC. "This festival aims to showcase as many of those cultures as possible. We're thrilled to introduce new entertainment this month, made possible by generous support from Bayhealth."
Attendees can enjoy dance performances from Twinkle’s Dance Academy and Bollywood workshops, along with African and Irish dance acts. Part...
