Missouri Tigers Just Outside Top 25 in Preseason Coaches' Poll
Missouri Tigers narrowly miss the top 25 in the preseason USA Today Coaches' Poll, ranking just outside at 27th with 142 points. The team, which finished 8th in the poll last year and posted a 10-3 record, is aiming for its first three-year consecutive top 25 finish and a third straight ten-win season. Returning six defensive starters and three offensive starters from last year's squad that defeated Iowa in the Music City Bowl, Mizzou has bolstered its roster with a strong transfer class led by defensive end Damon Wilson II, running back Ahmad Hardy, and quarterback Beau Pribula. Head coach Eliah Drinkwitz's team was also ranked 11th in the SEC by media outlets earlier this month. Looking ahead, Missouri's 2025 schedule includes matchups against top-ranked teams such as Alabama (ranked 8th), South Carolina (13th), and Texas A&M (21st), with several other ranked programs and teams receiving votes. The SEC continues to dominate with nine teams in the top 25, reflecting its strength in college football. The Tigers kick off their season on August 28th at Faurot Field against Central Arkansas, setting the stage for what could be an historic campaign.
