This week's rankings come with several important caveats. We're currently deep into the Leagues Cup, which impacts league play through player rest, rotation, and potential injuries. Notably, some key players have been substituted early in Leagues Cup matches, including one of the biggest stars.
Due to Lionel Messi's injury and limited updates beyond 'he's being evaluated,' he has been excluded from the rankings this week. However, if his injury proves minor and he begins the match, he would undoubtedly occupy the top spot among forwards and captain choices.
In addition to Leagues Cup rotations, new transfers like Rodrigo de Paul, who has already made a start, are expected to play significant roles moving forward. I considered including more Orlando defenders, especially if Messi is unavailable, but de Paul's quality quickly changed that consideration.
