ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Florida Water Tours announces its Moonlit Mysteries: Haunted History Boat Tour will return to St. Augustine on Sept. 26. The 75-minute nighttime excursion features historical ghost stories tied to the city’s 460-year history.
The boat tour operates on select Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays through Nov. 14. Tickets cost $39 per person for passengers ages 13 and older.
The tour covers lore associated with local landmarks, including the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument and the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum. Storylines include a July 10, 1873, incident on the lighthouse grounds where three young girls died after a construction cart flipped into the water. Staff, visitors, past keepers, and local artisans have reported unexplainable occurrences and apparitions on the property in the decades since.
