MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Approximately 900 cybersecurity professionals, federal officials, researchers and technology industry leaders gathered in Morgantown Wednesday for the 2026 Mountain State Cyber Summit and Tech Yeah, an expanded conference focused on cybersecurity, national security and technological innovation.
Held at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place, the event combined two previously separate conferences to bring together representatives from government, higher education and private industry. Last year's inaugural Mountain State Cyber Summit drew more than 600 attendees, according to Melissa McKenna, executive director of TechYeah Conferences and Events.
