Newark soon will be getting its moment on the silver screen.
A film crew was in town Thursday, shooting a scene at the historic Newark train station for the upcoming road trip comedy "Unaccompanied Minor," starring comedian Matt Rife.
“The filming is a nice opportunity to showcase our newly renovated historic train station and have one of the city’s oldest landmarks serve as a backdrop for a modern film production," Assistant City Manager Jeff Martindale said. "We were happy to accommodate the request where we could, and we’re hopeful the positive portrayal of the site will encourage more people in the community to visit the Newark History Museum and learn about the station and its history.”
