I took a gamble by booking a fairly tight 50-minute connection in Copenhagen on a separate ticket, knowing that I’d be hosed if my inbound flight was late. Thankfully, all worked very smoothly.
My Risky 50-Minute Connection Gamble In Copenhagen
My Air Greenland flight left Nuuk at 12:45 pm and arrived in Copenhagen at 8:25 pm same day, with a flight time of 4 hours, 40 minutes.
I figured I’d be stuck in Copenhagen for the night (there are far worse places to be stuck in, even in a sleeping pod), but I noticed there was a late evening flight on easyJet that left Copenhagen for Basel at 9:15 pm.
That left only 50 minutes to connect on a separate ticket, but I figured it would be worthwhile trying to avoid the overnight, especially because this was into Basel, which is must closer to my in-laws than Zurich.
And it was cheap…only about 83 USD. So I booked it, paying 20 USD extra to make the ticket flexible (knowing that if my Air Greenland flight was late, I would just rebook the easyJet flight for the following morning).
