The Nebraska Department of Revenue (DOR) announced local sales and use tax rate changes effective Jan. 1, 2027. The village of Winside will begin imposing a 1 percent local sales and use tax, while Eagle and Hay Springs will each increase their local rates from 1 percent to 1.5 percent. The Department stated that there are no county lodging tax rate changes effective Jan. 1, 2027. The state sales and use tax rate remains 5.5 percent. [Neb.
