Suspicious death investigated in Cass Lake
A male was found dead in rural Cass Lake on Sunday, Sept. 13.
According to a report from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Leech Lake Tribal Police requested an ambulance at 7:57 a.m. for a male found possibly dead in the yard of a home.

Medical personnel and officers confirmed the discovery and started an investigation, assisted by the tribal police, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Minnesota State Patrol, the report states.
An autopsy is scheduled with the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office and the investigation continues, the report states.
