NexPoint Materials Launches as Standalone Engineering Thermoplastics Company

Formerly SABIC's Engineering Thermoplastics business, NexPoint Materials announced the beginning of independent operations following its acquisition by Mutares, announcing leadership and business objectives.

NexPoint Materials has announced its launch as a standalone engineering thermoplastics company. The news follows the finalization of its acquisition from SABIC's Engineering Thermoplastics business by Mutares SE & Co. KGaA.

The new company employs approximately 2,800 people and operates an integrated manufacturing, technical and commercial network across Europe and the Americas.

NexPoint offers a portfolio of engineering thermoplastics, including Lexan polycarbonate (PC), Cycolac acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and Valox polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) resins and blends. These materials are widely specified for demanding applications in the automotive, healthcare, electrical and electronics, building and construction, consumer and industrial markets.
